Whats worse than a monkey on your back?



CAIRO, Egypt - An Egyptian baby born with two heads was in stable condition on Sunday after doctors at a provincial hospital removed one of the heads in a 13-hour operation, the doctors said.
Nasif Hifnawy, head of pediatrics at Benha Children’s Hospital, told Reuters that 10-month-old Manar Maged could move all four limbs and showed no signs of paralysis.
“Manar is now breathing normally and has a normal heartbeat and blood pressure,” he added. The baby remains in intensive care at the hospital, 25 miles north of Cairo, and doctors expect her to stay there for at least seven days.

Now apparently this conjoint twin (I always think of southpark) could blink etc but if they didnt give it the flick it would stress the heart out on the whole baby. Now that is some seriously weird shit. Like having a voice in your head but a head on your head instead I guess....

  • Ive read about those weird twin situations. They're way freaky. Often they grow INSIDE the surviving twin and when the normally adult twin starts complaining of pain, an exray can show a tooth, or usually hair growing around the heart, or something. The teeth and hair will not easily disintergrate with bodily acids. Trippy shit!

    The time difference between twins growing as separate entities, or as conjoined twins (or twin with extra bits) is literally a day or two. One day, the egg splits normally - a matter of hours later, and there can be massive problems.

    The problem, obviously, is that doctors will have to sacrifice the other head if the principal child is ever to live normally.
