Queeeeenslanderrrrrrr

How good is this bloke? He'd have to be one of the best players of all time!

A quick summary of his achievements this year alone:

1) Captains Brisbane Broncos to NRL Grand Final.
2) Captains Maroons to state of origin victory.
3) Captains Australia (but mostly a qld team) to a tri-nations victory over NZ's ALL Blacks.

  • Hmmm.. As an avid NSW supporter, I have respect for Lockyer, i just wish he could talk properly since he is representing Australia, then again can't expect that much from league players (I do love them though)

  • Mountie - he hasnt done anything of the such....he's just good at kicking a pig skin.

Kiki - he plays that funny game where you have to wear shorts that actually fit you....is melbourne in new zealand still?

  • Lockyer et al are so lucky they are good at sport otherwise they'd be in sheltered workshops learning how to make brooms. I will, however, always respect the adorable Matthew Johns for being honest, smart an dhumble enough to say that if it wasn't for football, he'd be the stop-go man on the Cessnock roadworks and he'll always be grateful for the media career sport has afforded him.

  • Alot of people like to belittle sportspeople without any concept of the dedication and training they put into succeeding. Many try and fail but very few actually succeed. Natural talent only gets you part of the way there, the rest is determination. You have to admire their guts to give it a shot when the chances of overall success are low.

Others prefer to take an easier option and be mediocre in their career. I know which type of person i admire more.

  • I couldn't tell you who that "bloke" is, but he looks awful pleased with himself. You seem like a nice enough "bloke," so if you think he's cool, than I suppose The Doctor does too.
